Phenomenological aspects of a modified fragmentation of material using active surface

چکیده
The main point of this paper is to show that treating the study of the grinding process in a phenomenological manner gives an opportunity to analyze the friction effects in this process. It indicates the importance of having a mechanism for approaching surface irregularities of the tribological couple elements which displace mutually during the grinding. This creates an indirect link between this concept and the elementary tribological criteria [1], as to the relation of an average immersion depth h [μm] of the top of surface roughness into the counter surface to the radius r [μm] of this top. It is consequently related to the maximum or average height parameters of the cutting wheel surface roughness (Rt, Rz), the average grain size a [μm] and the average distance between grains Lav in the grinding wheel respectively. It has been concluded in the experimental research that the grinding forces Ft, Fn and of the energetic intensity material removal KE [mm/N] are dependent on cutting wheel surface roughness parameters.

Effect of surface treatments on damping behavior of carbon and glass fiber reinforced friction material
The ability to absorb vibrations in a vehicle during braking conditions depends primarily on the selection of ingredients for a friction material and interfacial adhesion between all these ingredients. In this work, a hybrid brake friction material is developed by combination of carbon fiber (CF), glass fiber (GF), resin and other ingredients. The surfaces of carbon and glass fibers are c...

Carbon nanotubes are of great interest due to their high surface area and rich edge sites, which are favorable for wide applications. Here, a simple and efficient routine is presented by decoration of multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) with nickel oxide (NiO) nanoparticles. The morphologies of NiO-MWCNT were investigated by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energydispersive X-...
متن کاملInfluence of front row burden on fragmentation, Muckpile shape, Excavator cycle time, and back break in surface Limestone Mines
Front row burden is one of the key parameter to improve the bench blasting results. Improper design of the front row burden can create nuisances in the form of ground vibration, flyrock, back break or it may responsible for breakage of improper fragment size from the rockmass. Therefore, front row burden need to be optimised on the basis of proper scientific assessment. It has been proved that ...

متن کاملMeson B fragmentation function with consideration of mass corrections
Study of B meson (meson with the bottom quark flavor) in Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is of special importance so that the detector LHCb is devoted to investigate these types of mesons. For this reason, in this paper we will study the production process of this meson in a phenomenological approach using the experimental data from electron-positron annihilation. In this regards, we shall calculat...
